Does anyone else...

I really like Lucy just on it's own but I don't quite love it. I used to mildly dislike it but then two years ago I met the sweetest girl named Lucy who used to stable her horse at the place we were living. Lucy has mildly been on my mind since then. I used to feel it was too popular but it actually isn't if you look at the numbers.
I prefer it as a nn for Lucinda or Lucretia / Lucrezia or Lucina or Lucia pronounced loo-SEE-ə - also the other pronunciations but that ones my favorite.
Lucy and Luciana are about tied for me.
I prefer Lucy over Lucille, Lucilla, Lucette, Lucetta, Lucasta, Lucienne, Lucinde, Lucrèce, Luce, Luca, Luus, Lleucu, and Liùsaidh.
So just Lucy or Lucille, I'd pick Lucy.
Side note my younger sister-in-law has a cat named Lucy-Fur after Cinderella's cat Lucifer. It was her best friends idea to make it a pun. The cat gets called Lucy, Lucifer, and Lucy-Fur.

I like it well enough, don't love it.
I prefer it as a name on its own.
My son has a sister-In-law named Lucie.

I don't love it, but I'd say I like it. On its own, preferably, because I don't like any Luc- names much at all.
I get sort of the opposite thing with Lucy that I get with most other names--I don't like it all that much when I see it, but when I hear it in real life I like it a lot more. I usually find when that happens, I have the opposite experience!

Not so much. The sound of it is so brassy and clownish to me. It feels artificially perky and bordering on silly. I don't notice so much on a child, but on anyone past puberty it's unappealing to me. I mean, I think it's a decent name, and it doesn't really draw my attention as a very bad one. But picturing it as the author's name on the spine of a book ... I'd not have the highest hopes for it being a good book.
I guess if it's there, it is better as a nickname for Luciana than anything else. I don't care for Lucille, but I'd call an adult Lucille "Lou" or "Ceelie" before I'd bust out Lucy.

Yes, me! I fully expected to use it for our first daughter, who foiled me by not looking Lucy-like.
I dislike Lucille, which seems flabby and lacking in pizazz. And I once had a cat whom I wanted to name Cindy, but the breeder said she had to have an L- name so she was Lucinda on paper and Cindy in real life. If I had to use an extended form of Lucy, it would be Lucinda rather than whiney Lucille, but Lucy alone is fine by me.

I really dislike Lucy. The sound is just so obnoxious, so flaky and goofy. It's no surprise to me that it's so popular on cats and dogs.
I do. It's short, neat, comfortable, classic and classless - my favourite sort of name for actual use.
Lucille is nice too - very zingy and bright - but has a completely different feel & I think you'd need some pizzazz to wear it.

I can't help liking Lucy. I'd never use it, because I think it's way too commonly used, but I love the sound of it. Lucy and Sophie are both like that for me. Way too popular, but I can see why they are popular, since I like them too.
I don't like Lucille, so I prefer Lucy to Lucille .
I do like
Lucasta nn Lucy
Lucette nn Lucy
Lucia nn Lucy
