Most popular names by State 2013
While glancing at the most popular names per state in the United States, the differences in a names popularity in each state struck me as interesting. While there are multiple similarities in the lists, some names are ranked radically different. Camila and Wyatt aren't that popular in the U.S. over all, but apparently Wyatt is hot in Alaska and Camila is pretty common in Arizona. I only posted the top 15 for Alabama, Alaska and Arizona, but you can find the rest at Social Security Online. http://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/namesbystate.cgiAlabama1 William Emma

Haha, Liam not even making the top 15 in Alabama! They use William there, bless 'em.
Is it amusing that they seem to like Brooklyn so well there?
Camila is likely popular for girls from Mexican families, since it's Arizona right on the border. Would also explain relative popularity of Sofia-with-an-F.
And Hunter in Alaska .. heh.
I like to look at the Utah top 100 because they tend to use some unusual names theree, and once in a while, those end up being popular everywhere else much later. They have Oakley (for girls), Elsie, and Aspen in their top 100.
