Adelina
Will Adelina get lost with all of the Adeline/Adalyns out there? And also do you think it's going to become very popular? Thanks!

No, I don't think it'll be confused / lost with all the Adalyn, etc., and neither do I see it becoming too popular in the future. At one point Adelina was in my Top 10, and my stock combo was Adelina Solenne.

I have never actually met or heard of a real-life baby/kid Adeline or Adalyn, so I was about to say that it couldn't possibly be that popular. But I just looked up the stats and it's shot up ridiculously fast. Wow. In that case, yeah I guess Adelina would get absorbed into Adeline/Adalyn crowd. But it's not like there will be 3 other ones in her class, necessarily. It is after, still at 177/232.

I think Adelina is lovely and stands apart from Addison, Adalyn, etc. By itself, this name shouldn't be too popular. It's the nn Addie that might become popular (think Caitlin et al with the nn Katie). I think you could avoid that with a different nn such as Lina.

I love Adelina! We were going to name our second child that had he been a girl!I personally think it's prettier than Adeline and Adalyn and I don't think it'll ever become overly popular

I don't know if it will be as popular, but if you start calling her Lina right away, she wouldn't be as lost in school, since she isn't Addy/ Addie.

Like Elizabeth, Adelina is too long for everyday use. So it'll probably shorten to Addy, Lina or Leigh. If you like those nns, go right ahead and use it. If not, not.

I know many Elizabeths that get called by their full name. I even have had people request that I call them their full name and not a nickname.I think if you wanted your daughter to be called Adelina, you could. Though she might want nicknames herself later on.

I don't think it'll get lost and i don' think it'll ge pupular. It's very pretty one its own. much prettier than Adeline/Adalyn. Only modern use Ican think of is the character from Grimm. The show isn't popular enough to influence people though imo, so I think it's safe. Adelina is the pretttiest of the lot. But I think it's the least likely version to be used too, so no worries! And in general, I don't think it'll be used much. Not like a Emily or Sophia at the very least.

On "Grimm"The "Grimm" character's name is actually Adalind, but I understand the confusion since that's not a name one hears every day.

I think the GRIMM character is Adalyn, but I am not 100%.
My husband noticed the name from that show and is on an kick for names that start with AD, just because of Miss Shade from that show.
