Gardiner Spring, etc.

Gardiner Spring - Gardiner does sound masculine to me but, in concept, I can see it as an occupation name, "one who gardens" and that I can easily visualize as feminine. Wonder if she went by a nickname like "Gerdy" or such. I do like that she was named after her grandfather and, having decided to do that, I think her parents did a good job with the combo.
Chastine - like you, I initially thought "chastity meets Christine", but then I wondered if it might be intended as a feminine variant of Charles.
Hepsie - assume short for Hepzibah
Herselia - feminization of Hershel?
Blood - would guess probably a family name; or maybe a virtue, "washed in the blood"?
Luthera - if it's "LOO-ther-uh", I don't care for it but "loo-THER-uh", "THER" rhyming with "care" sounds okay.
