Re: Sighting: Yolo

I'm very fond of Amos, Gilbert would be my second favourite (there's a thrush that visits my garden, I call him Gilbert). American Horror Story ruined Thaddeus for me and I think that's a tragedy.

How did a fictional character supposingly "ruin" some name for you?
I personally don't care for the name regardless; its absolutely pretentious and too theatrical. Some name that fits best centuries ago.
I wouldn't refer to it as an "tragedy" in the least. But if you like it, why let some TV show ruin it for you?

Thaddeus in AHS:People have associations with names and those associations can affect how they feel about that name. Have you issue with others on the board for this? I feel you're being a little confrontational with your language and tone here.

Your last sentence: umm okay? Just giving my opinion but alright then. Never mind. PfftI complete agree that certain associations can influence an individual's opinion and perspective on a certain name. All that's fine and dandy and makes perfect sense. I was just curious to know what was it about AHS. Guess I'll read into it later. Just forget the whole thing. I'm not here for a petty\futile argument especially when people over the internet (including myself) misenturprets what the other one says all the time. Enjoy the rest of your day

Ottilie, I think you're being overly sensitive. Don't take this site too seriously. It's meant for entertainment. Have a nice everning (non-sarcastic)! :)

(:To be honest, I feel that more than half the users on here completely overreact 90% of the time. Like you have to be careful about what you say and how you word things; its completely obnoxious at times. But perhaps that's the entire internet world so...haha :P
Best to just ignore anyone who is at the time, seeming to be "overly sensitive" over the internet. I've been there before. No matter what you say or any apologies and right doings you try to make, they will almost always try make you look like the bad fella; the bully or the underdog.

When I wrote that paragraph, I was not referring to you. I was speaking genually. I was just sharing my feelings and expirences I have with many users on here, including expirences from people from other sites. I was not pointing the finger to you during that paragraph. I'm sorry if it somehow seemed like it was

I don't think I am, honestly. I picked up on some pragmatics. I've already let it roll off my back.
