Re: Going through the database - "B" time

Belphoebe and Bellona: I dislike Bel- names in general because they come across as aggressive, and not in a positive way (they remind me of words like belligerent and bellicose).
Briallen - I'm not sure how I feel about it, but it's interesting
Briony / Bryony - I like the rhythm of it, but it comes across as snooty imo
Balfour - interesting, but I think Americans might mishear it as 'baffler'
Barnaby - medieval form of a biblical name plus it contains the word 'barn', so I get a nerdy/rural/religious vibe from it
Baltasar / Balthazar - I don't know why, but it makes me think of snakes; it sounds cool, though
Bastian / Bastien - I just think of the word 'bastion', which isn't necessarily bad
Benson - it's boring and sounds sort of like a brand name, but okay
Bill - I think of dollar bills and Bill Clinton; I don't like it
Blake - I really hate this name; it seems flakey and superficial
Björn / Bjorn - I like the sound and the look of it
Brennus - it seems boring and eccentric at the same time
Brynjar - interesting; I don't dislike it
Beckett - it's okay, for a surname
Briar / Bryar - not my thing, but I like it well enough for other people
Brook - I dislike it because of personal associations
