I think naming a child after an author is fine, however Vonnegut is way too much, very ugly!
I've always considered using Enid after Enid Blyton
I have a pet hate of 'music' names as first names.. usually it's by parents who have no idea about the terms they use for their kids names! I think Novel, Lyric, Chord and Ballad are hideously tacky.
