I love Cecilia!
Unfortunately I could never use it because I hate the nickname Cece which is bound to come up.

It's OK. It's not a name I really like or dislike. The only problem I have with it is not knowing how to spell it -- Cecilia, which seems logical, or Cecelia.

I think Cecilia is a beautiful name.

Nope, and yet we're using it as a middle name. I find it whiny and annoying. I've tried to talk my husband into Celia, he won't have any of it. Unfortunately it was the name of his godmother, so it will be the middle name if we have another child.

No. But even worse I hate Cecile. They're on my least favorite list. I hate them both passionately.

Yes, it looks and sounds pretty to me, don't like the meaning so much unfortunately

Not really. I don't care for the meaning or the way it sounds. I don't like Cecil either.

I think it's pretty without being frilly, and it's very golden which I find pleasant. I had a lovely friend in college named Cecelia (that's how she spelled it, but I prefer the spelling Cecilia).

What do you mean that it's very golden?

The colors of it. C is yellow to me and open/round things are light, tall things like i and l are black, but somehow the name in general gives me a very gold vibe.

Yes. I think it's vintage, sophisticated, with a pleasant sound. It's also my Saints name so I'm slightly biased. The meaning isn't the worst and can be easily overcome.

It's ok, but I prefer Cecile, or Celia.

Interesting. Somehow, to me, Cecilia seems more modern.
