I like it as a nickname for Angela or a similar name, don't like it as a full feminine name

I don't think it stands very well as a full name, and I don't even like it as a nn. I'm not crazy about Angela, but somehow Angie for Angela seems to me like wearing neon rubber flip-flops with your nice evening dress.

I think it is adorable. I was never a fan of Angel___ names, but this one seems more approachable to me.

It's too informal for my taste, to be used as a full name.
But I like it as a nickname for Angela, Angélique etc. I've liked the people I met who were called Angie. If not for them, I think I would dislike Angie based on the sound of it.

Angie. I don't like. I don't kno if it's because of my uncles crazy exgirlfriend, it sounds too informal, or its dated but I don't like it
