Does the surname Colan make you think of intestines since it's pronounced exactly like Colon ?

Yes, though I've never seen it before. I have seen Colon, but that's usually pronounced more like cologne.

When heard, I would assume it was spelled Colon. My mind might not assume intestines, it might assume the punctuation mark, but my mind would definitely go to one or the other.
