I like Author a lot too. As you said, it is beautiful and has a deep, haunting, serious quality that I really like.

However I do think this is one name that would be hard to bear. It's got a lot of expectation and pressure attached to it. What if Author has learning difficulties or hates reading/writing? I suppose you could say it's in reference to how he's the "author of his own life/destiny".
