Ooooookay, guys, I got another one!
I've posted before on BtN about some of the... uh, unconventional names I encounter at my job. I know I've shared Dynastie (m), Generation (m), and Madly (f) on here. I may or may not have posted about the British (f) call, as well.
Anyway, today I had to call... Rapture (f).
And yes, it's what she goes by, because she didn't give me another name.

I might only think it's pretty because I love Bioshock, a video game that takes place in an underwater city named Rapture.
To me it actually sounds kind of nice? Might be because I'm not a native English speaker & not aware of any context that comes with Rapture...
Well, "The Rapture" is a Judgement Day concept in Christianity wherein the righteous will be brought immediately to Heaven upon the end of the world.
Also, it's a word used to describe intense joy or ecstacy (often sexual).
Neither concept is really something I'd want to be named after.

Hahahaha, yeah, that's a good one.

It brings to mind two opposing images: religion and sex. I feel like if I had the name, I'd have to say either, "Like in religion" or "Like in sex", depending on which idea was more appealing to me.
LOL!
