Kenneth. It's quite handsome as long as he's not called Kenny (ugh!) and it complements our Scottish surname. Also, I've never cared for the sound of Garrett (or Jarrett).

*whiny voice* do I have to?Garrett. But I really don't like either. I just marginally dislike Garrett less.

Haha. I totally hate these names! Kenneth maybe? Ken is okay. And I have a nice person in my life named Kenneth.

Kenneth. It's my FIL's name so would be honouring, plus I think Kenny is kind of cute for a little boy.

GarrettI don't love it, but I never really liked Kenneth.

KennethGarrett is fine, but I actually really love Kenneth and always have. I don't care how dated it is. Kenneth is B.'s real name, so I'd have no trouble at all and feel quite pleased to use it as a middle name if we'd ever had a son, even though B. himself says he doesn't like it because it's "a white boy's name."_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Kenneth, all the way. Garrett would turn into Gary (or maybe Garry, but it's a distinction without a difference) overnight.

My brother Garrett lived 64 years without ever being called Gary. My son Garrett is 37 and never has been called Gary.

I know 100 Garretts who are never Gary. I thought about that too - Ken is better than Gary, even though Garrett is kinda better than Kenneth. But I feel like Kenneth is sooo much more likely to become Ken than Garrett is Gary.

Yeah am I the only one who would have never associated Garret and Gary? I never would've considered a Garret going by Gary. To my knowledge, I've never known a Gary that was short for Garret, and I've never known a Garret who used a nickname, so I guess I just never thought of it as a "thing!"

I'm not so sure about that. I knew a Garrett in high school who was never Gary.

At my prior workplace, I had a co-worker whose son was named Garrett and she always referred to him as Garrett. I don't know for a fact that he was never called Garry by anyone, but at least she never referred to him that way.

I know a Garrett that goes by Garrett and he's in his late 20s.

Garrett, Kenneth is too flaky and dated for my liking plus I don't like the nickname Kenny! I already have a character names Garrett so I'm a bit biased!
