Isidora / Isabelle
What would you think about cousins being named Isidora and Isabelle? What if the cousins rarely saw each other and the moms didn't talk to each other?

Either way, I'd be unmoved. The names are so very different, except for the Is-, and the chances are that at least one of them would be known by a nn that wasn't Is, that it wouldn't be an issue even if they lived next door.

I wouldn't think anything of it. One of my cousins has the male version of my name, and it never comes up or is an issue.

I don't really understand. Why would it be a problem? They both start with Is- but they are two completely different names and it's for cousins, not twins.I fail to see the problem here.

I think that is perfectly acceptable. They are different enough it won't feel the same unless they share a nn.My sister's name is Nicole and one of our younger male cousins got named Nicolas. Only minor confusion has ever resulted from this mostly since they both share the nn's Nick and Nicky spelled the same way. I usually call my cousin Nick and my sister Nicole or Nicky.

It might be a little confusing if they both end up going by "Izzy", but overall it doesn't seem like a big deal.

I think its fine, especially since they are likely to go by different nicknames as well.

I'd think it was great, and I think the cousins would probably like it if they liked one another, and at least not mind it if they didn't.I hope the first mother isn't such a twit that she would get ruffled over the slight similarity...

That's exactly what happened

Even if the cousins were close, I'd find it kind of sweet. I don't see anything wrong with it.
