Rather than to cutsie, I find it to frumpy/ugly.

I really don't like it. It has an ugly sound and is too cutesy as a name imo, and it's what I call my grandma -- it means "grandmother" in Tagalog.

Not too cutesy, but too sexy.

For me, quite ok, but rather meaningless too.
Also applies to Lilo, Lale, Lela, perhaps even to Lili ?

Lola seems more like a nickname to me, but it's okay as a full name. I prefer Lula, and tend to like Tallulah as the full name for that. They are quite cutesy, but then again, I adore Lucy, and many people consider that to be cutesy. Cute can be good, if you like that style.

I think it's too cutesy on it's own and too cutesy for a nickname for anyone over the age of 4. And I hate it.
Wow, I'm not really that grumpy.... :)

Well, traditionally it's a nickname, but I think it stands on its own okay. It doesn't seem cutesy to me, more just...loud and bright...kind of in the same way that Poppy would come across to me. It's not something I would use, but I don't dislike it.

I don't like it very much, and it sounds a bit insubstantial, but I don't find it cutesy in the way that all those Victorian diminutives that are so popular are. It wouldn't seem out of place on an adult to me

People seem to think it's cute now, but it sounds ugly and very low-rent to me. A kind of dated, tacky sexieness that was once alluring but is now pathetic, like a sixty-year-old woman who still thinks huge hair and heavy smoking are hot.

I don't think it's cutesy I think it has a stripper/showgirl association. I also think this is the reason why it isn't common. From the sound alone it should be really common but I think many people have these associations. I also dislike its meaning a lot. The sound itself is okay.

Too tied to vintage pop, actually. I'd choose the sweet transvestite over the faded showgirl any time, but for child-naming purposes I'd look elsewhere.

I don't find it too cutesy at all, I think it sounds great. My only problem with the name is the meaning, it's not very nice.

Hi !!!I dislike Lola.Yes I find it too cutesy and too nicknamey anyway.I would not use it as full name and I dislike it as NN too.Lola is rated 4/10 imo.

Definitely not. I really like Lola, and think it works fine on it's own.

Not at all! I know a few little, absolutely adorable Lolas. I personally don't think it's cutesy, but if you're worried, it would make a great nickname too
