I don't mind it, but it's not a fave. I like a lot of other j names more than this one.

Biblical-trendy. Two strikes against it, plus I don't enjoy the sound.

I think it's a nice masculine name. I could possibly see myself using it in the future.

I absolutely adore the name Jared! Its unfortunately how negative associations seem to surround the name (Minus actor Jared Padelecki) because the name alone is very lovely. I went to highschool with a guy with this name and he wasn't very pleasant at all. He's the only Jared I've ever met but I still really like the name. I'm fond of the nn 'Jare'

Neutral, but I prefer the Jarrod spelling.

I think it's ugly as a monkey's armpit. The sound is ugly and the spelling is ugly. I can't decide which is uglier.
It also has a 1990's brat image, like Brandon and Logan.

AgreeAnd the actor Jared Padalecki is so annoying.

I agree. Its dated to the 90s and definitely is a brat image but I compare that to Tyler and Shawn.

Yes, those two work too.
Of course, the ultimate little-boy-brat name to me is Justin.I've seen so many spellings of Jared, each more obnoxious than the last, but maybe the worst is Jarred. Like jarred tomatoes.

I love it. It's Biblical (although I'm not religious, that is still a plus to me), strong, and handsome. Unfortunately, stupid alternate spellings such as Jarrod, Jarod, Jarred, Jerrod, and Jerred have detracted from it somewhat.
