Carlotta
What do you think of Carlotta? I heard a 5ish year old girl being called that. Would you use it?

I LOVE Carlotta, because I'm a huge phan of "The Phantom of the Opera"! Well, OK, Carlotta isn't a very sympathetic character, but I love her anyway.
I wouldn't use Carlotta on a child, though. She would probably spend her life explaining "No, not CHARlotta! CARlotta, without the H!"
And I'd rather name my daughter after a more gentle and kind musical character...

I much prefer Charlotte. I think two things when I hear the name Carlotta. The not-so-great namesake from Phantom of the Opera, and "used car lot".

I like it, especially with the nickname Carlie or Lottie.

Love Carlotta, Charlotte's overlooked cousin. There are many names I'd use before it. But in a hypothetical scenario, if a spouse wanted it, I could happily go along. Nn Lotta / Lottie. :0)

It's my best friend's name. Seems her mother got it "out of a book", as her ethnicity is just ordinary for the area..English mother, French-Canadian father.
So, I like the name, but I'm no judge, as the name signifies my friend, to me.

Hi !!I dislike its sound.
The -lotta ending is unpleasant. It seems clumsy. The only name with this sound that I like is Isotta.
