Well, the actress's name means nothing to me (it's such a generic combo it's not really memorable anyway) but I think Jamie is quite cute on a girl, in a retro, slightly tomboy but not butch way. I like it a lot better on a girl than a boy, on a boy it seems babyish.
Jamie Gilson is a children's author that I really liked when I was a kid. I looked her up and she's in her eighties. So her parents were ahead of their time for sure.
