River. I'm actually starting to think River is beautiful. It's not my usual style, but it's just such a pretty sound and image. I'm not a fan of Kaia at all.

I love River.

Kaia for a girl, River for a boy.

I really like both. I think I'd choose River, even though Kaia is more versatile in general.

Once upon a time, I would have chosen Kaia. These days, definitely River. I love word names and think River is beautiful and not too common.

I prefer the sound of Kaia, but if I was torn between that and something more overtly nature loving, I might go with Gaia.

They are both of different genders..Kaia is feminine, River is masculine.

I would choose River. I like Kai, but not Kaia. My girlfriend's name is River, but that's not part of my decision. I loved the name long before I met her.

For a girl Kaia. Hands down. It's soft, feminine and beautiful.
River, doesn't. Plus it sounds completely masculine. I can't envision the name on a female for the life of me.

Both are favorites of mine.
I think I'll go with Kaia by a slight margin, for real life. Because, although I love River, on this rainy gray day it's seeming just a little teensy bit too carefully offbeat and watery, for my comfort level. Kaia seems brighter and more agreeable.

River.Where I live, in some local languages Kaia means 'house' and, by sad extension, an outdoor toilet.

Both are too trendy for my tastes, but I guess if I had to, Kaia. At least then I get to call her Kai.
River has never sounded like a name to me.

Hi !!!For a girl?
I would choose River. It has an immediate meaning and is poetic.Kaia seems firstly a variant or a short form and then is plain in my opinion.
