Farrah, Fay, Fawn
Which one, and why? Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Fay, though I prefer it spelled Faye. I enjoy it’s simplicity, openness, and fairy connection. Like Kay, I think it has a subtle elegance.

Fawn is unwholesomely sentimental if it's originally animal, and a discouraging shade of yellowy brown if it's a colour. Farrah is big-hair 70s and close enough to Sarah - which I dislike - to put me right off. Good meaning, but there's no reason to use Far(r)ah when Joy is available. That would seem to leave Fay! It's a bit too ethereal for me, but as a mn it would be OK. I'm glad y ou didn't use the Faye version - that would have left me with no options at all.

FawnFarrah sounds better as masculine to me for whatever reason, and I wouldn't use that spelling of it.I have an Aunt Fay, plus fey reminds me of gay guys...nothing against either of them, but I'm not inclined to name a kid after them. I do like Phaedra (I say Fay-dra), though.I used to really dislike Fawn because of the verb, but I've mellowed towards it dramatically ever since I went through a phase of loving (and I still like) Fauna. Now I think it's sweet, and it reminds me of music.

Farrah sounds way cooler than Fay (sounds like a fairy) and Fawn which sounds weak and frail

Faye. It's pretty enough, though I do muc prefer it for a mn.
Farrah feels like a one-off to me, like Elvis or Beyonce.
Fawn just sounds tacky, like Fawn Double-D-Licious, a stripper from the eighties I just made up. Huge hair, huge implants.

FarrahFarrah because it's the one I like the most and am most likely to actually use.

I love, love, love Farrah. I think it's an awesome name and would love to see it more often (I'm genuinely surprised Farrah Fawcett didn't inspire more birth announcements, particularly around her death).Fay is a good name, too, though this is my least favorite spelling. I prefer both Fae and Faye.Fawn is appealing, but a little childish. Dawn has much of the same sound, but is stronger.Edit: I just remembered, in the movie Get Shorty James Gandolfini's daughter, who I think is only 6 years old, is named Farrah. That's the only other instance of the name in pop culture I can think of.I also know an Egyptian woman with the name, though she spells it Farah.

Really? Really?Okay, Fay. Farrah is way too tied to Fawcett, and while she eventually proved herself a capable actress, she was earlier on way too much of the sex bunny. She was the object of celebrity worship and I hate celebrity worship, and she was a woman who was worshiped for her looks and I hate that.Fawn has a somewhat ridiculous vibe to me. I'm sure it's partly because of the Fawn Liebowitz in "Animal House" who died in a kiln explosion ("I talked to her just the other day. She was going to make a pot for me"), but I honestly think it would still have the ridiculous vibe, although perhaps not to the same degree, even if the movie had never been made. And anyway Fawn? A baby deer? What's so great about a baby deer that the term for baby deer should become a name? I don't get it.So Fay is the best of this bunch, which isn't saying much, but if I had to, that's what I'd choose.

I never thought Farrah Fawcett was that attractive. She was very skinny, and she had no lips.

The night I met my husband, September 9, 1978, somehow the subject of Farrah Fawcett came up (don't ask me how), and I remember him saying that she wasn't all that attractive and that all she had was Chiclets. He meant her teeth. He preferred me lol.

LOL...Chiclets. That's a good way to put it.

Fay (But spelled as Faye) It was my late mother's middle name, so it has significant meaning to me. However if the spelling can't be changed, I would choose Farrah then. I think that sounds nice as well.
I don't care for Fawn. I think it sounds strange on an actual person.

Fay. It's short and simple, but not as childish as Fawn.

Hi Billina !!!Farrah 4/10 I prefer Farah.Fay* 9/10 I love this name! It reminds me all the Arthurian and Medieval legends! I'd love to use it. Fawn* 8/10 I like this name a lot but I've not the same emotional tie that I have with Fay.

I’m going with Fay. It’s short and sweet. I like Fawn as a GP, but it seems too infantile for an adult.
