Re: Dorcas?
The main reason Dorcas was popular in the past was because of the nickname Cassie. However, when it became socially acceptable to use names from Greek or Roman mythology (as opposed to sticking to the Bible), Cassandra caught on quickly, and Dorcas fell by the wayside.Which is probably where she should have stayed, because "dork" does bring lots of teasing potential.***Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381
