Re: BTN's Favorite Names 2019
It's fascinating to me to see Cassidy on the boys list instead of the girls list. For the general American public, Cassidy is now overwhelmingly female. There were 864 girls born in the USA in 2018 named Cassidy and only 73 boys -- and that's not taking alternative spellings into account, and they almost surely skew even more in the female direction. :)

I noticed when I was looking at the SSA list a few months ago that, in general, boy's Cass- names were trending up and girl's Cass- names were trending down! https://www.behindthename.com/top/beyond.php?name=Cassidy+Cassandra+Cassie+Cassia+Cassian+Cassius+Cassiel&gender=m&type=samplehttps://www.behindthename.com/top/beyond.php?name=Cassidy+Cassandra+Cassie+Cassia+Cassian+Cassius+Cassiel&gender=f&type=sampleNot that it means that Cassidy for a boy will be in the top 1000 any time soon though. Only 2 people had to consistently like Cassidy for it to rank where it does on this BTN chart.
