In the US, Jemima is a name I really wish we could take back, so to speak. I actually think it's quite lovely. But it has acquired a lot of unfortunate baggage culturally. It's pretty much unusable.

I forgot about Jemima and I totally agree with you. Thankfully, Jemma or Gemma wouldn't be a problem for me at all since the JEM sound is what I find most attractive about Jemima.

Agree but I find Gemma to be appealing and a close substitute
