Lucian or Lucien?
Which spelling do you prefer?
Do you pronounce it LOO-shen or LOO-see-en?

Loo-see-en. And the spelling is easy: Lucien if one is French, otherwise Lucian.

Lucien, 2nd pronounciation

I like both, but I think I'll go with the slightly more mysterious and exotic Lucien. I pronounce it loo-see-EHN.

Lucian. I pronounce it LOO-see-ən, akin to Lucy-Ann.

Lucien used to be super common in France. The pronunciation is hard to explain but would be hard for English speakers. It's kind of like luy-SYEHN, but I cannot even properly describe it. I'd therefore go with Lucian and I'd just pronounce it the English way. LOO-see-en. LOO-shen sounds bad :(

LucienI favor the look of Lucien. I would be most inclined to pronounce Lucian as LOO-shen. But I'd be comfortable with either pronunciation when spelled Lucien.

I prefer Lucien, and I pronounce it LOO-see-en or I use the French pronunciation.
