It's interesting. Saffron is a modern hippy, happy-go-lucky, she takes photos in fields of rapeseed for her Instagram.

I like Saffron on its own, no nickname. As for the image, my immediate association with the name - besides the actual spice - is the character on Firefly (played by pre-fame Christina Hendricks), who also uses aliases Bridget and Yolanda during the course of the show. We never learn her real name, but her Saffron persona was an overly sheltered, naive country girl who every dude in a 30-mile radius was attracted to, lol.

I like it but I’m not sure if I have the guts to use it.

I really kind of like it. It’s definitely grown on me, and when I was first posting on here as a “guest” I used the name SaffronR after a character in a story I’d written.

I like it. The color! Wow! I didn't even know it was a spice until fairly recently. There was a character named Saffron Casson in this series by Hilary McKay that I liked when I was a little kid. Nicknamed Saffy is what I'd go for.

I don't think it's awful, but I don't actively like it, either. Every time I see it, the first line of the song "Mellow Yellow" pops into my head: "I'm just mad about Saffron, Saffron's mad about me". That's probably just me.

I love it! I think Saffron comes across as smart and feisty. I really like Saffy or Ro as a nn.

I used to like it and it might still be on my list, but now I’m not too keen on the ‘ron’ part. I still kinda like it though.

I think Saffron is great. It’s different without being super weird and I also think it would age well. I prefer Saffy as a nn.

My first thought is Absolutely Fabulous which is a British comedy series from the 90s. The character of Saffron though is a sensible grounded character trying to cope with hopeless mother and her friend who enjoy shopping and champagne to parenthood.

I do like the name a lot.

I like it in a GP-ish way, it’s a bit too “foody” to imagine it on a person.

I like Saffron with the nn Saffy. It's somewhere between these words: soft, feminine, wild, country, and artsy. Don't really like Savy though (unless it's short for a name with "sav" in it).
