I don't like it. Uptight Russian ballerina. She has tons of cash lying around her mansion, and it all came from her Papa. It isn't usable, I don't think.

Much prefer KatarinaThat middle E is bothering me. (I also prefer Katharyn and Katharine to Katherine, if that helps.)Katarina is elegant in its fullness but still has spunk / and edge, whereas Katerina strikes me as much... prissier.Ekaterina is awkward in English, especially because most people would not pronounce the initial E in a "liquid" fashion (I believe that's the linguistic term) and thus would skip that initial Y sound.

It's lovely, not sure of Ekaterina in an English speaking country

It’s lovely. It makes me think of a warrior princess. I find it very feminine and girly yet also strong. I like the spelling Katarina better, though.I wouldn’t use Ekaterina in the United States, not sure about other English-speaking countries.

Strongly prefer CatarinaI believe it's a popular Portuguese spelling, but either way, it's the best option for my aesthetic. I also had an adorable piano student a long time ago when I taught who was named Catarina. Her equally adorable fraternal twin, also my student, was Carolina.I think Ekaterina is fine in an English speaking country.
