Re: Girl E Names
Evelyn: for a girl, I prefer Aveline or just Eve, I'm not too found of EV-ə-lin. I love EEV-lin though, especially for a boy.
Elizabeth: conventional, but inoffensive. I like the wide variety of nicknames.
Enid: looks offbeat, I never know whether it should be EE-nid, which I like; or EH-nid, which I dislike.
Elena: sounds like it what created in a lab and has none of Helen's appeal.
Elise: a limp francophile name, I suspect it will go the way of Nicole.
Estella: as frail as Estelle, and much more frosty.
Edwina: I like Edwin a lot for a boy, but can't stand the "ween" sound in Edwina. It's so tweedy.
Ernestine: I don't think it's ready for a comeback. Ernestine is a good-natured but almost ridiculously unattractive teashop owner.masculine list: https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/191050/124079
