I really like this name, but it got ruined when someone pointed out it sounds like “Add a Line.” Of course I originally said it in my head with a nicer flow than “add a line,” but now I can’t get that out of my head. People on this site seem to hate the “add-uh-Lynn” pronunciation (if that is you I’d love to know why!). I like Adelaide but I also think the “laid” sound can be off putting to some.

For some reason I don’t love the “add-uh-leen” pronunciation (or the accompanying Adelina, but maybe I can warm up to Adelina).
