I prefer Clover for animals and Calla for humans. I like the idea of Clover on a human too, but it needs a specific look and personality to pull it off. Calla is a lot more versatile, plus it's just pretty and nice-sounding. And Clover is really cute for a cat (or any other animal).

Calla hands down. Clover just sounds like a cow name.

Calla is an easy win here.

Neither!

Calla by far. Calla is more namey sound-wise, Clover is very wordy / very obviously a plant/flower. Clover always makes me think of cows, Calla has no immediate associations and is free to be used creatively.

Clover definitely. It’s beautiful, underrated, will age nicely and is just a gorgeous name.

Clover, no contest.

I like both, but I'll go with Calla. It's delicate, more feminine and, vastly underrated... it only charted in the late 1800's!

I don't like the Cal part of Calla. I prefer Callie, as it's softer.Clover is the better flower name in my opinion. It can be unisex and that gives it charm...people don't see it's resemblance to Glover or Grover: masculine names. It doesn't sound girly at all, but at least it doesn't sound fake girly like Calla. It's not bad, but it sounds very made-up to me, for some reason. I might be biased, because I haven't heard of it until recently.
