Actually, yes. Well, I don't know her but the name did cross my work desk and she was only about 2 years old. I was really surprised. First, you don't find many Peggy's (as my mom very well knows) and when you do, they are usually 50+ years.

Peggy Hill. I hope it is short for something, it feels a little bit incomplete on its own.

It’s not quite ready for a comeback for me, but it’s almost there. I think the ease of “piggy” for bullies might be holding me back.

Ah, it's very charming and cute. can't help but imagine Peggy Carter.

I know a Peggy who's about a year old, and it's adorable on her. I wonder if Hamilton the musical increased its usability.

Cute! I've actually never met any Peggys of any age. Fifteen years ago I probably would have recoiled at the idea of a Peggy comeback, but now it seems really nice.

Wow! I love Peggy; sadly, I've never met a young one.

Is that a good thing? Sorry, but I always found the name to be extremely unattractive and it is also very nickname-ish."Peg" just isn't an attractive sound to me. I would hate to be given this name, especially in the 2020s.I only ever knew one, she must be in her mid 30s now and it's her full name.It makes me think of Peggy Bundy on that TV show, even though I never watched a full episode of it it is just so well known.Something along the lines of Sally would be so much nicer.

I agree! I don't care for it either. It also brings to mind the term, "Peg leg" (like of a gruff old pirate) and of Peggy Hill (another character association) Sally would be a thousand times better.

I like these older names come back. This could have been a nn. Didn’t ask. It’s cute.

I wouldn't have thought of Peggy on a child though I know none, it's rather delightful.

I now wonder if it’s after someone.

I know of one in her 40s; Peggy is her full name. I'd be delighted to know or know of many more; also Polly, Betsy and Nancy.

I'm a teenage Betsy and I have a friend my age named Polly! I think these old-fashioned nicknames are charming and most of them deserve a comeback.*
