Cecilia. I don’t really have any bad associations with it, unlike Celeste. That’s more of a personal thing though.
Celeste is also a bit more snooty than Cecilia imo. Cecilia isn’t really that snooty at all. It’s very shy and quiet. Celeste is bold and brash. And while Cecilia has a pretty unfortunate meaning, it’s still a better name. Both are pretty good though

Celeste. While both are elegant and feminine, Celeste has the better meaning by far.

Cecilia, hands down. It's an old favorite of mine. I find it to be soft, classic and sophisticated. A world away from Celeste, which I despise.

Cecilia just slightly.

I've never understood why Celeste gets so much love on here? It sounds slick and slimy in my opinion. Similar to Sloane.Plus the "Lest" sound is so unappealing, even in names like Lester for example.

Oh my God, THANK YOU! I feel the same towards Celeste. And yeah, the 'lest' sound certainly does it no favors. Think I'd rather have Sloane, which is saying a lot.

Celeste, because it sounds modern and starry. I don't like Cecelia.

I'll be in Celeste's corner, just this one time. It's growing on me. It has attitude, in a good way.

I like the sound of Cecilia better, but Celeste is safer from the nickname Cece, which I hate

I love both equally, but if I'd had to choose then Celeste because I dislike the meaning of the name Cecilia.
