Mostly makes me think of American Samoa.

It's just okay.
Asa seems like the next Aaron, to me. Seems decent and upright, but maybe also kinda basic and square.
The S in Asa looks to me like it should make a Z sound, not an S. I'd like it a little better if there were a Z sound.

My great-grandmother had a cat with this name, so it will always be handsomely feline to me.

I used to not like it, but this is one of those rare instances where I actually met someone with a name and changed my view. I have a work friend named Asa, he's Mennonite. He is so nice. I don't like the name as much as other old-time Bible names like Noah or Jeremiah, but I think it's a lot more handsome than I did before. It does kind of make me think of this rhyme I remember chanting for jump rope or something: I saw Esau kissing Kate, and Esau saw that I saw Esau kissing Kate.
You could have lots of fun if you added Asa to this mix, and Lisa, and pizza and eat some ...

I like it for both boys and girls. Ace is a cute nickname.

I'm a fan of Asa, I would use it (but won't because DH doesn't like it as much.)

It’s not a bad name, per say. I can’t place my finger on it, but something doesn’t work for me. My opinions are neutral, tbh.
