Xavier or Arthur?
Xavier Arthur or Arthur Xavier?I love both names ending with ‘r’ with a certain rhythm like here.

I love Xavier Arthur. It might be a tad Roman Catholic for my taste, but maybe not.

Arthur Xavier. It flows better and I prefer Arthur anyway.

The normal (though clearly opposed here) three-syllable pronunciation of Xavier is fine with me.

Normal? I don't think the ig-ZAY-vyər pronunciation is the most common. Nor do I think it's the original English pronunciation.

Arthur is a great name, and easily pronounceable. Xavier is…okay….but the eksavier pronunciation is awful. Plus, Arthur Xavier sounds better than Xavier Arthur.

I don’t know of anyone who says Xavier differently than you described.

Just as ZAY-vyer

That’s not how I’d ever say it.

In that case, definitely Arthur.

Everyone can (I hope!) pronounce Arthur. Some people say eks-AY-vee-a for Xavier, which puts me right off.Arthur Xavier is the best and safest bet.
