Annunziata is striking & glamorous — I quite like her! Annie as a nickname makes her feel more approachable ☺️

I’m always puzzled by non-Italians who love this name. Annunziata is a 90-yo woman dressed in black who can barely read and write. Most Annunziata go by Nunzia, which has got to be the ugliest nickname ever.

It confuses me a bit when people with unique names use an extremely common nickname. Is it to ground it? If I named a child Annunziata I would encourage the nickname Ziata or Zia, something more fun than Annie, as it kind of defeats the purpose of having an out there name. Just my humble opinion. As to the name itself, I wouldn’t use it, it’s a bit too far on the pretentious/clunky side.

Don't like it at all

I'd be thrilled to find out an Annie was actually an Annunziata! This is a great name, I love how baroque yet energetic it is. That "ziata" part really livens things up.

Five syllables of a religion I don't share. I'm not a fan at all.
