Feminine names ending in -o (or the sound)
On BtN, I would say there's a definite Western bias in terms of name preferences, owing mainly to the user base. Anyway, it occurred to me that, outside of Spanish (and maybe Portuguese) names, there weren't a lot of feminine names in Western languages ending in a long-O sound - enough that hearing such a name in real life causes my ears to perk up.Anyway, here are some of my favorite long-O-ending feminine names:Margot
Juno
Willow
Meadow
Amparo
Mirèio
Io
Isabeau
Peridot
Domino***Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381

You're right—feminine names ending in -o also catch my attention every time. It's a nice change of pace! I have always liked Margot a lot. Some other ones (I noticed a lot of Greek fem. names end in O. The Japanese, Korean, and the various Igbo, Yoruba, etc. names didn't surprise me though, since that's pretty common for unisex names to end in O in those languages)Alecto / Alekto
Callisto
Calypso
Cleo
Isabeau
Dido
Pirjo
Rosario
Sappho
Shiloh
Virgo
Wilmot

There's a handful of Greek names that end with o that I like:
Alecto, Sappho, Ino, Echo, Hero, Leto, Dido (technically this one is Latin, but it likely has Greek roots)Others I like:Lilo, Bo (usually male in English, like Beau, but I know a female Anglo-American Bo), Jo, Marlowe, Vireo, Halo, and Sparrow.Unsure about Harlowe, Snow, Monroe and Shiloh
