It's phonetic, indeed. Besides Antoaneta, you can also find Antoanete in Bosnian and Antoanett in Hungarian; all of them come from French Antoinette.
I think the "toi" (/twa/) in Antoinette became "toa" because of the pronunciation.
Besides, there are lots of name borrowings in those languages, especially in Hungarian... Imogén, Szkarlett, Alán, Medox (Maddox)...
