I, for one, love how it's one of very few masculine names that means "rose." I think it's sophisticated and smooth as silk.

First time I've seen it: I tried it with the stress on the first syllable, which I thought wasn't bad, but then I looked it up and found varDAHN, which I don't like at all.

I thought it was intriguing until I actually encountered one, and now it sounds ugly to me similar to how Garth does to me.
