A road in my city is named Pamalee. I suppose it's named after a person or a combination of two names. How do you think it would work as a girl's name?

I think it's fine, but I'd recommend finding out the origin of the name before using it. Just in case there's some unsavory history there. But yeah, I don't think it sounds terrible or anything.

Big no for me. It sounds very trashy and weird. I think their is also a country band called Pamalee. It does sound a lot like Paralee, an old southern name.
I think she'd end up being known as Pam, just as if her name were actually Pamalee. So I see no point in confusing the issue: there's nothing wrong with Pamela, and Pamalee doesn't appeal to me at all.
