Re: What Names Would You Pick For Your Children From Your Own Generation & Region?
in reply to a message by Dianatiger
While I'm not sure anyone else would recognize it (because I don't think "normal" people think about these things) I noticed that there were an unusual amount of girls named this is my area and generation:
Tanis or Tannis
Charmaine
Tara
Chantal
Jaclyn (that spelling specifically)
For boys we weren't so colourful, but we had a lot of Dustins, and I always thought that Dusty was a cute nickname. We also had a LOT of Jons and Johns which I think was fairly unusual by the mid 80s.
So maybe I would do Tannis Chantal, Charmaine Tara, and John Dustin "Dusty".
