Cherokee?
I came across this name again as it was one I considered for my DD. I loved it and was happy because my ex had Native American heritage. The main reason I didn't name her this was that I couldn't think of a nn that wasn't 'Cherry' and the last name was Moon. I thought Cherry Moon sounded like a stripper.Opinions? Did my DD dodge a bullet? lol Any nicknames you can come up with ?

Yep. Well, I'm glad with the name I picked for her either way. I think Cherokee was one of the 'guilty pleasure' names I had like Gypsy.

GypsyA girl I once worked with was named Romany because of the Gypsy connection. It fit her well.

I think she dodged a bullet. I think Cherokee Moon is the name of a book by Larry McMurtry. Cherry Moon is definitely just silly.
***Edited to add that I was mistaken. The book is called Comanche Moon. I'm sorry.***

Kiki seems like the obvious nn to me.Or Keekee, perhaps. I dislike Cherokee--it seems disrespectful to me.Array
