Where does this name come from. Katinia

Does anyone know the meaning or where this name comes from? Everyday someone ask me this question could some one please shed some light on this name please? My name is "Katinia" I have heard from several people that it is Russian, German and African. I am clueless.

I strongly suspect that it is related to Catherine . In Greece, Katina is a Catherine nickname, which has aquired the connotations of "Yenta" :)
