Two separate names sites give the meaning of Faraz as being "equitable" -- "fair, reasonable".

Hi. My name is Faraz. According to my parents, Faraz is a Farsi word that translates to "elevated". It may sound simple in English but the actual meaning comes close to "those above others". You know, the "great". Its a very noble name, in Farsi.
