...I would probably think she was Catholic, and that her parents gave her that saint's name as her special protector, or something. It's not that uncommon for girls to be given the names of male saints -- just as sometimes boys in France are named: "Jean-Marie".
But if the only reason you want to name a girl "Anthony" is simply because you like the name... Well, I don't think that's a good enough reason for tagging a girl with what society generally perceives as being a boy's name.
There are a zillion feminine variations of "Anthony" to choose from. I suggest you choose one of those for any future girl child.
