I discovered that one of my ancestor's name was Suvernus, but I can't seem to find the origin or meaning of the name anywhere. I was hoping that if anyone has heard or seen the name before or knows where I could find out more about it they could let me know. Thanks.

Any chance it is from India? This site http://www.daddezio.com/names/S.html lists it with other names, mostly Indian in origin. Also listed on another site or three of Hindu names. That was all I could figure out from a search--sorry I don't have any other knowledge of it.
