" Isaac Stacy " .... any comments?
Hi,I really like this name ("Stacy" as a middle name, only with "Isaac" being the first name though) but my partner insists that "Stacy" is a girl's name.. What do you think? Your comments will be very much welcomed.Nancy

I would not use the name Stacy for a boy anywhere in the name, first or middle name. As soon as I here Stacy, I think of a girl. If you like the name though, do use it as a middle name, and don't be shocked if the boy does not tell anyone his middle name. Perhaps, though, by the time he grows up, Stacy will be popular for boys.

Even though Stacy can be a male name, it just doesn't cling with Isaac...

While the name "Stacy" can be either a boy's or girl's name, in the United States (according to Social Security Administration statistics), "Stacy" is overwhelmingly a girl's name. In the year 2000, there were 454 baby girls named "Stacy" and only 57 baby boys named "Stacy". There were also 360 baby girls named "Stacey" and only 44 baby boys named "Stacey".Other feminine variants of the name included "Stacee" (7), "Staci" (84), and "Stacie" (141)."Stacy" is also considered a diminutive of the name "Anastasia" -- which is obviously feminine. You might want to check Australia's Health Department statistics, but I suspect you'll find the same girl vs. boy percentages for the name as we have in here in the States.-- Nanaea
