Susannah is a form of Shosannah. Rebecca is a form of Rivka. Why is it put backwards? I'm fairly sure Shosannah and Rivka came first...Sorry!Siri

I try to put the most familiar form (in English) as the main definition. But at Rebecca and Susanna I mention what the original forms were.

Yes, they did. I'm a bit bothered by the reverse order too. Just like Yocheved isn't the Hebrew form of Jochebed, but the original one (or we could say "Jochebed is the English form of Yocheved). lolClaire
