A made up, but very real name?
My 1 year old daughter's name is Caylin. My husband and I took it out of our names, Clay (Cay) and Linda (lin). We both are white americans with a little of this and a little of that. No one seems to know. But I was hoping you may have some other thoughts on this special name. We pronounce it sounding like Kay-Lynn, Unfortunatly, we never thought of the difficulty with creating such a unique name. We are always spelling it and correcting people. Do you have any thoughts?
Thanks, Linda

It's a nice name. I believe there's an Irish name spelled Cailin, wich is an Irish form of Catherine

Yeah, and it's not such a very unusual name. It's like the ever-over-played Caitlin, without the t. And Kaylee with an n. The confusion lies in the multitudes of spelling variations.Andrea
