I need to know what the name "Alitos" means. The name comes from Greece but I'm not sure if it's male or female. I'm pretty sure it's male but not positive. If you could please get the information on this, I just need to know the meaning and if it's a male's name. It's also from Montague Summers "The Vampire - his Kith and Kin".

Actually "Alitos" is not a Greek ne is a word "alitis" meaning "rascal" or "vagabond". The Greek peotry Nobel Prize Laureate Odysseas Elytis constructed his surname from "Alitis" ans "Elite" :)
