here's one for ya... Sheherezade pronounced Shar zod in its original Farcis(Persian) have a friend by that name, she goes by Shaz
which where I come from, England , is a common abrieviation for Sharon

Here's a website that gives the meaning of "Sheherezade" as "dweller in cities."
