Does anybody have any information on the female name Carlena? (car-lay-na) I'm assuming some kind of form of Carlene?

Yeah, I would say Carlena would most probably be a simple Latinate form of Carlene. It might also be a combo of Carl and Lena, the latter extracted from Helena, Magdalena, or any other name ending in -lena.
